Jamie Lynn Spears’ little girl covers Aunt Britney’s latest hit

Pop legend Britney Spears’ 3-year-old niece, Maddie Briann Aldridge, might be following in her famous aunt’s footsteps, as the precious toddler chanted Spears’ latest hit, “Up N’Down” on YouTube last week. (Ke$ha wants to skinny dip with Britney Spears)
Britney, whose 20-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, gave birth to Maddie in 2008, tweeted a video Friday of the mini songstress-in-training.
“OMG! Check out my niece Maddie covering Aunt Britney’s Up N Down. Sooooo adorable!” Britney tweeted, linking to the video of Maddie’s adorable karaoke session.
Though it is more than a little disturbing to hear a child spout the words, “the room got sexy,” Maddie maintained her innocence by clutching a Barbie doll throughout her rendition and botching some of Britney’s lyrics.
Instead of singing, “I know you want me like kids want candy,” young Maddie went with, “I know that kids want candy.”
In December 2007, Jamie Lynn announced her pregnancy, which instantly made her an easy media target. At the time, she starred on the Nickelodeon sitcom “Zoey 101,” which ended several months after she told the world she had a baby on the way.

Lady Gaga's Hollywood Concert On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Some anxiety permeated the area, as the LAPD braced for a possible repeat of Wednesday nights' riot. The police were on high alert and had helicopters observing the scene.

At the premiere of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," which was just across the street, actor Tom Felton joked to NBC LA, "I was worried that a thousand people in ape costumes were going to raid our premiere tonight." Despite the worries, the concert and premiere went smoothly.

Lady Gaga also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live as a guest, where she spoke with the host about fashion, traditional Italian cooking, and driving in Los Angeles. Watch her recount her one and only driving experience below.

In the wake of Wednesday evening's near-riot at the premiere of the Electric Daisy film, Los Angeles police and fire officials are bracing for another huge crowd Thursday afternoon when Lady Gaga performs at an outdoor concert in Hollywood.

Lady Gaga is set to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Thursday afternoon at his studio at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. Some 2,000 fans have been permitted to attend the exclusive mini concert that will occur behind the theater, said Los Angeles Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Bowman.

The area usually accommodates about 1,000 people, but show producers were allowed to remove chain-link fences at either end of the parking lot to accommodate additional fans.

The street behind the theater, Hawthorn Avenue, will be closed between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue for much of the day, according to police.

Fans were already gathering Thursday morning. Her fans, who call themselves "Little Monsters," were discussing the concert on social media. Kimmel was also promoting the event, offering 10 pairs of tickets to those who "tweet something weird." Kimmel has held similar events, including one with Coldplay in 2008.

Dozens of Los Angeles Police will staff lines of officers across each end of the small road that runs behind the famous El Capitan Theatre.

"We are asking people without tickets to stay away from the event," said LAPD Cmdr Andy Smith. "We will have plenty of officers on hand to deal with anyone who acts in an unsafe or unlawful manner."

Snapshots from R&R: A tender moment in nature….turtle hatchlings on Amelia Island, Florida

We had an extraordinary experience on the beach in Amelia Island, Florida. Through the work of the Amelia Island Sea Turtle Watch group, we were on site during an excavation of  a turtle nest whose hatchlings had already gone to sea…..to see if there were any little turtles left behind.
It was a truly tender moment….turtles discovered both alive and those that didn’t make it. Then, an emotional (for me) release to the sea.
At the marked turtle nest spot.

There's the little turtle flapping his flippers trying to get to the water. Go little guy, go!

The hole where the initial set of turtle hatchlings left from. We were there for the post-hatch dig, to see if there were any surviving hatchling who needed help getting to sea.

These are the egg shells left behind from hatchlings who had already left the nest.

This guy was not quite ready to leave the egg....a "live pit" as they called him. He'll be going back to the lab to see if he can mature enough to be released.

They found four live turtles in the nest on Amelia Island! It was a really extraordinary experience.

The volunteer walked us closer to the water, where she was to release the turtle hatchlings.

She drew a line where we were supposed to stand behind....to give the little turtles plenty of room to get to sea. If any were females, they needed to touch their bellies to the Amelia Island sand to set it to their memory and return in 25 years to lay their eggs.
