Rachel Maddow sued by Christian Ministry Heavy Metal Rocker ...The hollywood

Born-Again Christian Bradlee Dean has filed a lawsuit against the on-air personality and MSNBC claiming misrepresentation. The lawsuit claims $50 million in damages and alleges that Maddow twisted Dean's comments in an effort to undermine Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.

Dean leads a Minnesota-based Christian ministry and has been vocal about the threats posed by homosexuality.Last year, Dean went on radio and talked about Muslim Sharia law and his view that it called for the execution of homosexuals -- evidence, as he saw it.
For a segment devoted to Minnesota politics and a boycott of Target Brands, Inc. for its political donations, Maddow took what Dean had to say and used it to paint him as anti-gay with the implication he advocated their execution, according to the suit.

The minister claims that his on-air statement: "Muslims are calling for the execution for homosexuals in America, this was just released yesterday and it shows you that they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible, the Judeo Christian God. They seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do" was edited out of context.

Libyan rebel leader: Our military chief killed

Rebel commander Abdel Fattah Younes speaks during a rally in Benghazi on July 6.

The head of the Libyan rebels' military campaign against Moammar Gadhafi was shot dead by assailants on Thursday, the top rebel leader said.
Abdel Fattah Younes was part of the group involved in the 1969 coup that brought Gadhafi to power, and was interior minister before he defected and took a senior position in the rebellion in February.
"We received news today that ... Younes and two of his bodyguards were shot at after he was called in to appear before a judicial committee investigating military issues," rebel leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil told reporters in the rebel stronghold of Benghazi.
Some rebels were never comfortable with an army leader who had until recently been so close to Gadhafi, and Younes had been involved in a dispute over the leadership of the rebel forces.
Jalil said Younes was shot before appearing in front of the judicial committee and the head of the armed cell that killed him had been arrested.
It was not clear where Younes and his bodyguards had been killed or how Jalil had learned of their deaths, but Jalil said all efforts were being made to find their bodies.
Shortly afterwards, gunmen burst into the grounds of the hotel where Jalil was speaking and fired bursts of shots in the air, a Reuters reporter said.

'We will fix it up ... just like before': Norway tries to return to normal

OSLO, Norway — A Norwegian cabinet minister will make a symbolic return on Wednesday to her bomb-damaged office as the nation tries to restore some normality after the massacre by a right-winger whose lawyer believes is insane.
Friday's attacks by Anders Behring Breivik killed 76 and traumatized normally peaceful Norway, which has been struggling to come to terms with his cold-blooded shooting of young people and bomb attack in the heart of Oslo's government district.

It is not clear whether the prime minister's 17-story building will be rebuilt or torn down.
Also Wednesday, Norwegian police evacuated Oslo's central station after a suspicious suitcase was discovered on a bus. All train and bus services were halted.

Norwegians fill Oslo cathedral to mourn

OSLO, Norway—
"Today we are mourning. Today we want to stop and remember those who died," Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said at the service, as attendees in the pews wept.

In all, 92 people were killed and 97 wounded in the Oslo bombing and Utoya Island shooting rampage. There are still people missing at both scenes, and divers were searching the waters around the island for bodies.

Stoltenberg grew emotional as he recalled a woman named Monica who had worked at the island youth camp for 20 years. "She has died, shot and killed while she tried to create safety and happiness for young people," Stoltenberg said.

"Soon we will be given the names and pictures of those who have died, and then the size and scale of this cruelty will become apparent. This will be a new trial for us, but we will manage that one as well. In the middle of all this tragedy I am proud to live in a country that is able to stand at such a critical moment, to stand together."

Also Sunday, Oslo Deputy Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim said the suspect, Anders Behring Breivik, was cooperating, and that "the dialogue between him and police has been good."

Police would not comment on the long right-wing online manifesto attributed to Breivik, saying only that it was part of the investigation.
